Sharing some of the things I really enjoyed last month from books to clothes to skincare. What’s something YOU loved in December?
READ
The Nordic Theory of Everything - I finished this while on Christmas vacation. It’s SO informative but enjoyable to read. It’s basically comparing the USA to Finland and other Nordic countries, something I am fascinated by. It definitely gave me a clearer idea of where the USA is going wrong and what Finland is doing right!
WEAR
Fleece Lined Leggings - These are so soft, comfortable and yes, warm! They’ve become my go to pair of leggings for the Winter. I love how very high waisted they are and they have a drawstring to help prevent any sagging. Only $20 right now!
WELLNESS
Blume Gingerbread Blend - I ordered a few Blume latte mixes to try and overall they weren’t as flavourite as I’d hoped but I did really like this one. It’s yummy in warm milk or added to hot cocoa or coffee. You can also make smoothies with it which I think I’ll do this week with some frozen bananas! It’s a Canadian brand but also ships to the US.
RECIPES
This gnocchi soup was a favourite of mine and my kids. We also loved the tomato soup from Gentle Nutrition along with this foccacia bread recipe. For more recipes we enjoyed in December, check out this post.
BEAUTY
E.L.F. Holy Moisturizer - Wow! I rarely love a moisturizer and use them simply because I need to haha but I really love this one! It feels SO good when you apply, like a water bomb. It’s hydrating but not greasy at all. It’s kind of crazy that it’s only $12 because I would definitely pay more for it.
WATCH/LISTEN
Sex Lives of College Girls - I finally started this series (ok technically in January) and binged both seasons in a week. haha The writing is so good (Mindy Kaling!). I laughed out loud a lot watching it, even if it wasn’t very relatable for me.
